Event a Great Success

October 9th, Orlando, FL, 2018; Over 10,000 players, coaches and parents enjoyed the fourth annual Alliance Cup this past weekend in Orlando.

The tournament run in partnership with Florida Kraze Krush (FKK) had over 300 teams registered to play and features representation from Missouri, Puerto Rico, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey as well as the Sunshine State. Games were played at four outstanding facilities in the Greater Orlando area; Championsgate, Austin Tindall, Young Pines and the home of GPS Orlando, Trotters Park.

"We'd like to thank all players, parents, coaches and officials who made this such a fantastic weekend of soccer," said GPS Tournaments Director James Hamblin. 

The most successful club was FKK who lifted an outstanding 14 Championships over the weekend.  Also celebrating success were Hunter's Creek SC, FESA and GPS Florida West all of whom won four titles at the event.

FULL SCORES AND STANDINGS  

The Alliance Cup is now the largest GPS event outside of Massachusetts and the fourth biggest overall behind the Memorial Day Tournament (the largest single-weekend event in North America), Thanksgiving Showcase and March Madness Showcase.

The event is the final GPS Florida tournament of the calendar year.  Next up is the Pre-Season Classic (January 18th-20th), followed by the GPS Super Cup (February 22nd-24th) and the Spring Cup held in Ormond Beach (5/18-5/19).
